The brand, which is brewed at source in Mexico and imported into more than 155 countries, is also sponsoring the "Best of the Fest Awards" at the moving image festival in Manchester, which takes place November 17-19.

The film festival "exposures" is showcasing an array of short films from all genres, produced by students and fresh young talent from across the country.

Angel Garcia Gomez, head of Corona Extra in the UK, said: "We are delighted to once again be involved in the ever-growing success of this festival and support the talents of upcoming film makers, who may be dominating the big screen in the future."

Corona Extra is sold, marketed and distributed by Bedford-based Wells and Young's Brewing Company.

Chris Lewis, director of marketing at Wells and Young's, added: "Exposures further builds on the brand's sponsorship of high quality arts and lifestyle-based events, reflecting the image and popularity of Corona Extra amongst consumers."
