LTC launches recruitment drive in Burton
The Licensed Trade Charity (LTC) launched a marketing campaign last week in Burton Upon Trent - with the support of the local MP Andrew Griffiths - to recruit volunteers.

Support & Care, part of the work of the LTC, supports those working or retired from pubs and breweries facing very difficult times.  Their national programme of volunteer visitors plays a vital role in meeting people around the country, assessing their needs and providing useful information and guidance to them.

The charity currently has 25 active volunteer visitors, but urgently needs more in Staffordshire and in the South East.

Andrew Griffiths, MP for Burton upon Trent and Chairman of Parliament’s All-Party Parliamentary Beer Group helped launch the recruitment drive.

He said: “The charity’s work is a sign of the drinks industry taking care and responsibility for those who are facing a difficult time in their lives.  In the year of the volunteer, when giving your time for good causes is more valuable than ever, I believe that this campaign is a good way of helping to support those who need it most.”
