The Cotswolds Distillery has launched its latest gin expression, Cotswolds Hedgerow Gin.

Inspired by the fruit and flora found in the British hedgerows in late summer and early autumn, the brand's latest variant is made from the juices of sloe, damson, blackberry, plum and elderberry, layered over award-winning Cotswolds Dry Gin.

Cotswolds Distillery founder and CEO Dan Szor said: “We are thrilled to introduce Cotswolds Hedgerow Gin to our customers and to share a part of our beautiful Cotswolds countryside with the wider public.

"Steeped in flavour, it is the perfect edition to the Cotswolds Gin range moving into the season of mellow fruitfulness.”

Cotswolds Hedgerow Gin (40% ABV), is available now in 70cl bottle format from Master of Malt at RRP £34.95.

Innis & Gunn expands Vanishing Point portfolio

Innis.and.Gunn.vanishing.point.06

Innis & Gunn has unveiled Vanishing Point 06, an 11% ABV imperial stout, brewed in collaboration with single malt Scotch whisky brand, the Glenlivet.

The latest in Innis & Gunn’s annual Vanishing Point series, which is now in its sixth year, ‘Vanishing Point 06’ has been matured in oak casks that previously held Glenlivet 18-year-old whisky.

During its 365 days of maturation in the Glenlivet casks, the stout takes on characteristics of the whisky left behind in the oak, which harmonise with hints of dark chocolate and caramel from the beer.

Jet black in colour, the beer, of which just 1,500 bottles will be available, offers an almost spicy yet balanced flavour, with notes of honeycomb toffee and vanilla.

Vanishing Point 06 will be availble in exclusive gift cartons from Friday 11 November in 500ml bottle format at RRP £15 via the Innis & Gunn webshop.

Innis & Gunn founder and master brewer Dougal Gunn Sharp: “Our first edition of Vanishing Point was in 2016 and since then each annual release of the beer has been an evolution of the last.

“A ‘Vanishing Point’ is something always slightly beyond reach and this name perfectly fits this beer and our quest for continual progression in brewing, evolving year by year.

“Collaborating with the Glenlivet to mature this beer in their rare 18-year-old whisky casks has taken Vanishing Point 06 to another level, introducing flavours and complexity only a whisky skilfully matured in this way could have left in the casks.”

Salcombe Distilling Co announces first commercial rum

Salcombe.Rum

Multi award-winning distillery, Salcombe Distilling Co., has expanded its portfolio with the release of Island Street.
