Hand & Flowers, Marlow, Buckinghamshire, chef Tom Kerridge will be presenting the list and the awards at an exclusive lunch on 25 January 2016.

Topped the list

Kerridge, who topped the list in 2012, 2013 and 2014, will take to the stage as host for the second year in a row.

He said: “It’s an honour and really exciting to be presenting the Estrella Damm Top 50 Gastropub Awards 2016. To be able to name the 50 best gastropubs in the UK for the second year in a row is something really special.

“These awards are about recognising the great and hard work of pub chefs and the strength of great British pub food. I’m proud to be a part of it again and I can’t wait to see who will take the number one spot next year.”

‘High priority for most chefs’

James Healey, UK sales manager of the list’s lead sponsor Estrella Damm, said: “Making the Estrella Damm Top 50 Gastropubs list is a high priority for most pub chefs.

“Why wouldn’t you want to be ranked among the greatest food pubs the industry has to offer? Customers get a buzz when they know they’re eating in one of the best pubs in the country.”

Voting for the list is still underway and will conclude in the coming days. Entries for the three awards associated with the event, which include Business Innovation of the Year, Newcomer of the Year and Front of House Manager of the Year, have now closed.

Top 50 Gastropubs 2016 is sponsored by Estrella Damm and associated partners include Appletiser and Schweppes and Berkmann Wine Cellars.
