Customers “seem to like” a half-naked painting of the Queen at a London pub – which was drawn to mark her landmark of becoming the longest serving monarch.

The anonymous artist admits the artwork may not be to everyone’s taste, but so far the Westminster pub, Angel, has only had a positive reaction.

The manager of the pub told the PMA there hasn’t been any bad feeling towards the painting on the side of the north London pub.

“People seem to like it. It’s a nice piece of art, if a bit unconventional,” he said.

Queen Elizabeth II, 89, has now served for 63 years, surpassing Queen Victoria’s reign.

London street artist Pegasus is known for controversial street work, having painted a picture of Kate Middleton whilst pregnant, and others of the Queen and Prince Harry.

"I am sure there are a few people who think I should be sent to the tower, and they are probably right," the artist admitted.

But so far the daring art has received mostly positive reaction since the painting first appeared two weeks ago.

Pegasus has also been in trouble with police, having been arrested on Valentine’s day last year for spraying graffiti on an unauthorised spraying wall.
