Double Michelin-starred pub chef Tom Kerridge has announced the launch of a new food and drink festival in Marlow.

The festival, called Pub in the Park, will be held in Marlow’s Higginson Park from 19–21 May, offering visitors the chance to try a range of dishes from his pubs the Hand & Flowers and the Coach.

Culinary prowess

A range of other top chefs will showcase their culinary prowess at the festival. Kerridge is also in the process of curating a line-up of live music acts.

He said: “This is going to be a great celebration of everything that the brilliant British pub stands for – food, drink, music and fun, all in the amazing setting of Higginson Park in Marlow, right next to the river Thames, and all served up by a supporting cast of great chefs, restaurants, pubs and breweries.”

Top gastropubs

Kerridge’s second site, the Coach, overseen by head chef Nick Beardshaw, was recently named the fifth best gastropub in the country at the Estrella Damm Top 50 Gastropubs awards.

The Hand & Flowers came top of the list three times before Kerridge retired from the rankings to present the awards in 2015 and 2016.

The chef recently released a new diet cookbook, called Tom Kerridge’s Dopamine Diet, which details the diet he used to drop 12 stone in two and a half years.
