Welsh brewer and pub owner SA Brain has re-modelled one of its most innovative city centre venues. The unusually-named Isit?, in the centre of Cardiff, now boasts a new bottle and cocktail bar for weekend drinkers and will also open at 10am for breakfasts. All-day Sunday opening has also been introduced. An extensive refurbishment has been carried out and the interior re-modelled. A huge new mirror, which has been installed behind the downstairs bar, gives the whole place a lighter feel and allows customers a bird's eye view of what is happening in other parts of the bar. The upstairs has been transformed into the Isit? Lounge, complete with comfortable sofas, high tables and stools, and features a new bottle and cocktail bar which will be open on weekends. Isit? customers will also benefit from the extension of the evening menu, available until 9pm each night, as well as extended opening hours which will not only see the venue open from 10am each morning, serving up a new breakfast and brunch menu, but also all-day on Sundays. Isit? manager Darren Beddis said: "Isit? has always been a really popular venue but with new features such as the cocktail bar and with the extension of hours to incorporate breakfast, as well as Sundays we're able to offer customers just about everything they could want from a city centre venue." Brain's used to be renowned for its traditional pubs but in recent years has developed a number of new concepts including Isit? so-called because nobody was quite sure what it was.
