Licensee Jay Smith's Save Our Boozer series featuring a number of pub revamps and reopenings will air again at the end of the month.

The TV series, which first aired in December last year, follows the pub operator as he leads five communities in getting their local back up and running.

One pub featured — the Greyhound in Grizebeck, Cumbria — increased its takings 10-fold from just £586 per month.

The programme will run all day on 26 and 27 August on UKTV channel Blighty — channel 537 for Sky, 203 for Virgin Media and 12 for Freeview. From then the show will air on TV channel Dave.

Smith runs two independent bars called Monty's in York and Harrogate, both in North Yorkshire.
