The chief executive of CPL Training was crowned Liverpool Young Director of the Year at last week's Institute of Directors Director of the Year Awards.

Daniel Davies impressed the judges, who said he had made a personal impact on the company.

"I'm incredibly proud to be recognised by the Institute of Directors in this way but it's down to the hard work from the whole team at CPL Training. 2010 has been an amazing year for us," said Davies.

The accolade is the fourth this year for CPL Training.

The runners up were Rob Maxwell from Aztec and Phil Hodgkinson from Compass Cost Consultants.
