Slug and Lettuce launches spring menu

High street brand Slug and Lettuce is gearing up to launch its spring summer menu.

Town and City Pub Company has introduced eight new dishes and also tweaked the wine, Champagne and cocktail lists.

The new dishes include a chicken fajita platter and three new curries — Thai chicken; beef bhuna; and Indian snack selection — which are part of the brand's new Tuesday curry offer of two for the price of one all day.

Also new to the menu are a chicken and bacon stack burger, chicken and chorizo pasta in a spicy tomato sauce with spinach and two sandwiches — a battered fish finger sandwich and a 6oz Philly steak sandwich served with chips.

Campo Viejo Rioja has been added to the list and Champagne is now affordable every day of the week with lower prices and more varieties.

The cocktail menu has also been revamped following sales growth in 2010 with a seasonal list. The first is Me and My Mojito — a list of seven mojitos available at two for the price of one every day.

Deals currently running at Slug and Lettuce include 50% off food on Mondays, all wine at £10.95 a bottle on Wednesdays, two for one on desserts all day every day and £4.95 for a full English breakfast.

"We've tweaked this new menu adding dishes that suit our customers desire for quality, easy to eat food such as our fishfinger and Philly steak sandwiches and new delicious sharing platters," said brand development manager Nicola Stuart.

"By giving a range of superb deals from food through to drinks throughout the week, such as our main meals for £5.95 all day every day, customers can get a great deal whatever time they visit."
