Toby to roll out takeaway menu
Toby has been running a trial of the takeaway menu in around 25 businesses in north London and Essex.
A spokeswoman said: “The trials have been working very well. It’s therefore planned to roll out the take-away menu to all Toby Carveries next year.”
Trial sites have included the Aldenham in Watford. The takeaway roasts are available all day and at the Watford site cost £5.49 until 7pm and £7.75 after 7pm.
Customers order their takeaway meal, pick up a to-go bag, present their receipt to the carver, help themselves from the carvery deck, then drop it into a bag to takeaway.
Takeaway is available on the carvery menu only and doesn’t include starters or puddings.
The company rolled out takeaway across its Harvester sites earlier this year.
The takeaway menu has also been extended this month to include a range of super sundaes such as Black Forest sundae and banoffee pie sundae. The sundaes have also been introduced on Harvester’s main menu.
M&B has also introduced weekend brunch at selected Ember Pub & Dining sites.
The menu is available from 10am to midday every Saturday and Sunday and features traditional breakfast, sausage sandwiches, scrambled egg, and salmon & asparagus on toast.
Many sites are also offering afternoon tea with cake and a hot drink for £3.50 or a piece of cake for £1.50.
