You may think the humble Sunday roast has changed little over the years, but in actual fact it has and continues to do so.

In the final episode of the Great Roast Revival, produced by The Morning Advertiser ​and powered by Knorr Professional, we ask the experts what they think the future holds for our national dish.

Will it even resemble what we know and love today or could the roast become something altogether very different?

Some chefs believe we’ll be eating a roast dinner influenced by Asian flavours, while others believe they will steer more towards meat and dairy-free.

However, the traditionalists may not need to worry, as many chefs also think the roast will remain pretty much unchanged on the surface.

That’s right, some chefs think the roast will have a deeper makeover with more of its ingredients coming from local and hyper-local sources, featuring better quality meat and seasonal veggies.

One thing most agree on, though, is that it will change in the future, but certainly not for the worst.
