Brucan was the undeniable winner for the “Best Food” category in 2023, according to the judges.

They commended the company for an unwavering passion for food, which is at the very core of their business.

Brucan's menu impressed the judges with its innovation, seasonal nature and ability to make it a dining destination. It was a unanimous decision for the judges to declare Brucan as the winner.

The judges were particularly impressed by the knowledge and enthusiasm that filtered down to the rest of the business.

Sourcing and kitchen standards were easily the best in class for this category, making it stand out from the other finalists.

The judges also supported the sentiment of HQ visits and noted that training, food waste, and sustainability were Brucan's strengths. This was brought to life through a panel that demonstrated how food was its primary strength.

Brucan's menu caters to various dietary requirements, and it offers different events like summer jazz nights, secret supper clubs, and winter warmer set menus with drinks included. It also has a strict food waste policy, and any waste that can be composted is.

The pubs are actively involved in the community, partnering with local charities to provide food for up to 40 people per week, and they have a zero-plastic policy.
