Belhaven Brewery's Myers dies
Jeff Myers, the managing director of the pub division of Greene King's Scottish brewery Belhaven, died in his sleep last Friday aged 48.
He suffered heart failure in the early hours of Friday morning while at home.
Myers had been credited with building the Stirling business up to an estate of 330 leased and managed pubs.
Belhaven managing director Euan Venters told The Scotsman: "He was a very talented guy and he will be sorely missed by everyone at Belhaven."
"He was instrumental in significantly building up the pubs business. It was a huge shock for everyone."
Myers joined Belhaven from Scottish & Newcastle Pub Company in 1995.
