What do you think of the service you get from your banks?

"They chargetoo much for cashing cheques and the small things. I am quite lucky as I don't have a mortgage with them anymore, but it is the small things that annoy you. I'm with Lloyds TSB and they are generally not too bad. But when you add up the little charges, it can amount to quite a lot."

"They just rob us. I don't do so badly because I don't borrow any money, but if you do, they just rip you off. It's all add-on charges. They are just rogues. If you get a bad person looking after you, then you get a bad service and it can come down to that. My own view is that they are highway robbers. My bank is HSBC and they are the worst for queues and have the worst service."

"I am withNat West and am absolutely thrilled with them. I've been with them for around 12 to 14 years or so. I have a relationship manager who looks after me and I feel like I am a person. I have a person to speak to. I am not so happy with some of the bank charges but that is the same with any bank you use. Overall, they are very helpful and I would recommend them to anybody."

"For day-to-day banking I use Alliance & Leicester because it is convenient as I can use the Post Office. The downside is you never see a bank manager so it is a bit impersonal. I use Nat West for the mortgage and they've been fabulous. The manager is very helpful. Generally though, the fees of high street banks are extortionate; I think they charge you 1% for depositing cash, or something, which is galling, given we are a cash-driven industry."
