Punch Taverns looking for at least £36m in latest pub sell-off
Punch Taverns hopes to raise at least £36m by selling more than 30 of its managed pubs in England and Scotland.
The pubco has appointed property agents Colliers CRE to handle the disposal, which could see the 36 pubs sold either as a package or individually.
Guide prices for the sites range from £450,000 to £1.8m.
Andrew Watt, director of Colliers' licensed and leisure team, said: "These public houses present an opportunity for individual entrepreneurs together with larger pub and hotel groups to obtain excellent assets".
The sale is the latest in a series of disposals which has seen Punch offload managed pubs in order to raise funds to reduce debts.
Such deals, which most recently included sales to Fuller's and Greene King, have tended to be conducted behind closed doors.
Punch has also been active in the sale of non-core leased and tenanted pubs, disposing of between 50 and 80 sites a month as it seeks to bring the number of its leased pubs down to around the 5,000 mark.
Pubs for sale through Colliers CRE include the Imperial, Crawley, West Sussex; the Elms Hotel, Retford, Nottinghamshire; the Balmwell, Edinburgh; the Gordon Hotel, Abderdeen and the Old Cobblers Inn, Rossendale, Lancashire.
