Asahi Super Dry has introduced a ‘sleek and elegant’ side-pouring beer font which it believes to be a unique point-of-sale and a world first.

The new font consists of a chromium main column with back-lit soft branding at the tap-head and is claimed to provide the customer with a direct view of the Asahi draught pour.
Christian Hamilton, Asahi’s general manager, said, “Since launching Asahi to the UK market, we have had very strong bottle sales and are now to keen to further develop our sales for draught. This state-of-the-art font is an ideal way for us to provide our key accounts with a serving method that represents the Asahi brand.”
The Asahi brand is not new to innovation having previously launched the world’s first Robotic Barman and, most recently, a 4x4 Asahi Toyota FJ Cruiser that serves draught beer straight from its boot.
