Data solutions firm Vianet has launched a new iDraught app to help operators better manage their beer quality and waste.

With the “new and improved” app, operators will be able to gain real-time insight into the performance of their draught products across the bar, including quality measures and whether or not the correct money is being taken for drinks.

The app offers users push notifications and alerts, as well as “simple visual reporting” of any issues that may occur in real time to help prevent any business disruption.

“The iDraught app has been developed through working in partnership with publicans to deliver insight on key operational areas that need attention within their businesses,” the company said.

‘Underperforming areas’

“This ensures underperforming areas are quickly addressed before they impact on the customer experience and operators’ bottom line.”

The app can be downloaded from Apple’s App story or Google Play on mobile devices.

Vianet managing director Steve Alton said: “We’re dedicated to help operators improve retail standards and drive profitability through providing actionable insight.

“All businesses need to access to real-time management information to ensure they know what’s currently going on in their business and the areas that need action.

“Our improved iDraught app offers an on-the-go business tool that provides operators with the data and insight they need to boost sales and improve performance.”

Fuller’s three-year contract extension

Meanwhile, Fuller’s recently agreed a three-year contract extension with Vianet across its 160 sites.

Vianet has worked with Fuller’s for several years and the new contract will allow the pubco to “exploit” the data firm’s “next generation technology platform”.

Alton said: “We recognise that great businesses use real-time insight to ensure they know how they are performing and more importantly are able to act before consumers are impacted and profit lost.

“As our customers evolve their commercial models, Vianet is enabling them to drive improvements in retail standards, yields, stock and team performance.”
