£2 or more for a coffee in a pub
More than 40% of consumers were willing to pay more than £2 for a cup of coffee in a pub, Nestlé Professional proprietary research carried out in September 2013 showed.
“The ability to serve coffee shop-style drinks in an instant clearly presents a big opportunity for operators,” it said.
In 2011, consumers’ retail spend on coffee was £941m, according to the British Coffee Association.
