Robinsons Brewery has given the White Hart pub in Kendal, Cumbria, a striking new look after conducting extensive refurbishment.

The renovation was carried out in order to modernise the pub that current licensees Helen and Wayne Chorley have managed for 17 years – though the pair have worked at the pub since 1976 when Helen’s parents first started running it.

Discussing the pub’s upgrade, licensee Helen Chorley said: “Our pub has been in the family for over 40 years so it was really important that we delivered a refurbishment that showed how the pub has changed and moved with the times.

“The White Hart has now been brought up to date, and has been transformed into a unique local that caters for all ages.

“The new look has proven to be popular with the whole community because we’re attracting a diverse range of new customers while retaining our loyal regulars. We’ve been at this pub for such a long time, and we are so proud to be a part of its continued progression.”

As part of the refurbishment, the bar has been moved to provide a larger area for customers while the outdoor drinking area has been improved with new lighting. The pub will also use the revamp as a chance to expand its drinks offering, expanding its wine and premium spirits collection as well as adding new continental lagers to the menu.

Robinsons Brewery business development manager Steve Robinson explained: “The pub is based in a great location in the heart of Kendal and has lots to offer to the community; including a more spacious environment, perfect for old and new customers to relax while enjoying delicious food and drinks.”

Robinsons Brewery, established in 1838, is based in Stockport, Greater Manchester, and currently owns close to 280 managed and tenanted pubs across the north-west.
